Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron born August 7, 1975 in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa is an Academy Award winning South African actress and former fashion model. She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Monster (2004). She was first featured in 2 Days in the Valley (1996), starring alongside such actors and actresses as Danny Aiello and Teri Hatcher.
"Theron" is a French surname pronounced in Afrikaans as "Tronn," although she has said that she prefers the pronunciation "Thrown". The pronunciation commonly used in the United States involves two syllables, with stress on the first. Theron grew up as the only child on her parents' farm near Johannesburg (Benoni). At the age of thirteen, Charlize was sent to boarding school and began her studies at the National School Of The Arts in Johannesburg. At fifteen, Theron witnessed the death of her father, an abusive alcoholic; her mother shot him in self-defense when he attacked her. The police laid no charges against her.


At the age of 16, Theron traveled to Milan, Italy, on a one-year modeling contract, after winning a local competition. Her contract ended while she was in New York City, and she decided to remain there, attending the Joffrey Ballet School, where she trained as a ballet dancer. A knee injury closed this career path when she was 18.Unable to dance, she bought a ticket to Los Angeles. After eight months in the city, she was cast in her first film part, a non-speaking role in the direct-to-video film Children of the Corn III. She followed this with larger roles in widely released Hollywood films, and her career skyrocketed in the late 1990s, with box office successes like The Devil's Advocate, The Cider House Rules, and Mighty Joe Young.

Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Lee Carpenter born July 23, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is an American actress. She is best known for playing the character Cordelia Chase in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.

Carpenter was discovered by a commercial agent while working as a waitress. This led to several roles on TV advertisements. She made guest appearances in Baywatch and Miss Match, and she has had arole in Malibu Shores. Her best known role was that of Cordelia on TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
After 7 years playing Cordelia Chase, 3 years on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and 4 years on Angel, Charisma returned only for Angel's 100th episode in the fifth and final season due to taking time off to raiseher new son (her pregnancy was actually written into the show on season four and her son was born before the end of that season).Carpenter became good friends with Holly Marie Combs during the filming of See Jane Date and this friendship led to her three episode guest stint on Charmed as a psychic demon called The Seer.Carpenter appeared on the cover and posed for a nude pictorial in the June 2004 issue of Playboy magazine. She made the decision to pose as a way to motivate herself to lose her pregnancy weight. The photos were taken ten months after she gave birth to her son.

Catherine Zeta Jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones born 25 September 1969 in Treboeth, Swansea, Wales is an Academy Award-winning Welsh actress who began her career on stage at an early age. After starring in a number of television films and small roles infilms, she came to prominence with roles in films such as The Phantom, The Mask of Zorro, and Entrapment in the late 1990s.

Zeta-Jone is married to Michael Douglas, with whom she starred in the 2000 film Traffic. She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for portraying Velma Kelly in the 2002 film adaptation ofChicago.

Zeta-Jones' stage career began in childhood. She often performed at friends and family functions when she was younger. She was a part of a Catholic congregation's performing troupe before she was 10. She also starred in a London production of Annie, as well as a version of Bugsy Malone. By 1987 she was starring in 42nd Street as Peggy Sawyer in the West End. Once the show closed, Zeta-Jones travelled to France, where she received the lead role in French director Philippe de Broca's 1001 Nights (also known as Sheherazade), her feature film debut.

Cate Blanchett

Catherine Élise Blanchett born on May 14, 1969 in Ivanhoe, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia is an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning Australian actress. When Blanchett was 10, she lost her father to a heart attack. She has two siblings; the elder, Bob, is a computer systems engineer, and her younger sister, Geneviève, is a theatrical designer. She is of partial French ancestry.

Blanchett attended primary school in Melbourne at Ivanhoe East Primary School before completing secondary education at Methodist Ladies' College, where she explored her passion for acting. She studied economics and fine art at the University of Melbourne before leaving Australia to travel.
When she was 18, Blanchett went on a vacation to Egypt. A fellow guest at a cheap hotel in Cairo asked if she wanted to be an extra in a movie, and the next day she found herself in a crowd scene, cheering for an American boxer who was losing to an Egyptian. She walked off from the set. She returned to Australia and later moved to Sydney to study at the National Institute of Dramatic Art; graduating in 1992 and beginning her career in the theatre.

Carrie Ann Moss

Carrie-Anne Moss born August 21, 1967 in Burnaby, British Columbia is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Trinity in The Matrix trilogy. At the age of eleven, she joined the Vancouver children's musical theatre and later went on to tour Europe with the Magee Secondary School Choir in her senior year. She attended high school with Gil Bellows. She subsequently enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena upon her return. In 1985, she left Vancouver for Toronto and became a model. This career took her to Japan and Spain in the late 1980s.


Moss married fellow actor Steven Roy in 1999. They had a son together at the end of 2003. Moss, very keen to protect her and her family's privacy, has not revealed the names of either of her sons, the second born in November 2005.
Moss's best friend is actress Maria Bello, who is the godmother of Moss's first son. Moss is the godmother of Bello's son, Jack.

Carmen Electra

Tara Leigh Patrick born April 20, 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, professionally known as Carmen Electra, is an American glamour model, television personality, singer and actress.After moving to California, she met singer Prince (a Minneapolis native), who persuaded her to change her name to Carmen Electra. Soon after, she signed a recording contract with Paisley Park Records, Prince's company, marking the start of a short-lived rap career, which included one album.

In 1995, Electra started appearing in various television programs. Then, in May of 1996 she was featured in a nude pictorial in Playboy magazine, the first of several. This exposure led to higher profile television appearances, including Baywatch (cast member from 1997-1998) and MTV's Singled Out. She returned to Baywatch for the 2003 reunion movie, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.

Electra has appeared in several films, such as Good Burger (1997), The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (1999), the horror spoof Scary Movie (2000) and also appeared in Scary Movie 4 (2006), Epic Movie (2007), and the remake of the 1970s TV show Starsky & Hutch (2004). She won an MTV Movie Award (best kiss) for Starsky & Hutch. Her acting work is generally panned bycritics.In 1999, she appeared in the Bloodhound Gang's music video of "The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope.In 2005, she joined the voice cast of the animated series Tripping the Rift, replacing Gina Gershon as the voice of the sexy android "Six". In late 2006, Carmen began to be featured in commercials by Taco Bell.

Camerron Diaz

Cameron Michelle Diaz born August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California is a four-time Golden Globe nominated American actress and former fashion model. She is well known for her roles in blockbuster movies such as The Mask, There's Something About Mary, My Best Friend's Wedding, Charlie's Angels, Shrek, Gangs Of New York, The Sweetest Thing, and In Her Shoes.

Diaz is the second of two actresses (the other being Julia Roberts) to join the coveted "$20 Million Club" after receiving this salary for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
At age 17, she began her career as a fashion model. Diaz signed with top modeling agency, Elite Model Management. After graduating from high school, she went to work in Japan and met video director Carlo de la Torre. On her return to America, she moved in with him. For the next few years, her modeling took her around the world, working for contracts with major companies. She modelled for designers such as Calvin Klein and Levi's. She also graced the cover of the July 1990 issue of Seventeen magazines.

Britany Murphy

Brittany Murphy born Brittany Anne Bertolotti on November 10, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia is an American actress and singer.Murphy's parents divorced shortly after her birth, and she was raised in Edison, New Jersey and Burbank, California by her single, working-class mother; she has had little contact with her father since the divorce. Murphy was raised aBaptist, but is now a non-denominational Christian.

Murphy landed her first job in Hollywood when she was fourteen, starring as Brenda Drexell in the television series Drexell's Class. She then went on to play Molly Morgan in the short lived The Torkelsons spinoff Almost Home. She was also the lead singer of the band Blessed With Soul in the early 1990s, and was at one time signed on to play late singer Janis Joplin in a biography, but the film was not made because of legal disputes over music rights.

Bridget Wilson

Bridgette Leann Wilson born September 25, 1973 in Gold Beach, Oregon, USA (also known as Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), is an American actress. Her sister, Tracy Wilson, is also an actress. She married tennis champion Pete Sampras on September 30, 2000. They have two sons, Christian Charles (b. November 21, 2002) and Ryan Nikolaos (b. July 29, 2005).

Wilson-Sampras was crowned Miss Teen USA in 1990 in Biloxi, Mississippi; she is the second contender from Oregon to win this crown. After her reign as Miss Teen USA, Wilson-Sampras became an actress and appeared in: Saved By The Bell (playing "Ginger"), Last Action Hero (playing Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter), Billy Madison (playing Adam Sandler'steacher/girlfriend), Mortal Kombat (playing Sonya Blade), I Know What You Did Last Summer (playing Sarah Michelle Gellar's elder sister) and The Wedding Planner.

In addition to acting, Wilson-Sampras sings; her music is popular in Japan,[citation needed] and she has starred in The Rocky Horror Show (off-Broadway). She was a judge on the 2006 Miss Universe competition.

Bridget Monynahan

Kathryn Bridget Moynahan born September 21, 1970 in Binghamton, New York is an American model and actress of Irish descent, best known for her roles in films such as Coyote Ugly; I, Robot and Lord of War.

Moynahan grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, along with her two brothers. she studied acting at the Caymichael Patten Studio in New York City. In 1999 she had her first big role role (in a guest appearance) as Natasha in the TV series Sex and the City. Her breakthrough role in a feature film was as Rachel in Coyote Ugly a year later.

Since then she has appeared on a number of blockbuster movies, such as The Sum of All Fears, The Recruit, Lord of War, and I, Robot. She currently stars in the television series Six Degrees.

Bridget Fonda

Bridget Jane Fonda born January 27, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actress. Fonda first became involved with the theatre when she was cast in a school production of Harvey. Although she came from a long line of actors, Fonda resented the implication that acting was in her blood[citation needed]. She refused to solicit acting tips and advice from her famous relatives, and studied method acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the Lee Strasberg TheatreInstitute. During her first two years she suffered from a severe case of stage fright and self-consciousness.

Fonda made her film debut with a non-speaking role in the 1982 comedy Partners. It was not until 1988 that she had her first speaking role in a feature film starring with John Hurt in Scandal, based on the Profumo affair. That year, she also appeared in both You Can't Hurry Love and Shag.
Fonda's first big role in a movie was when she starred as an attractive journalist in The Godfather, Part III. After gaining additional work experience on a few theater productions and small movie roles, she was cast in the lead for Barbet Schroeder's Single White Female. A review in the New Yorker proclaimed she had "...a provocative, taunting assertiveness" and Rolling Stone said that Fonda was "a comic delight."

Bijou Phillips

Bijou Phillips born April 1, 1980 in Greenwich, Connecticut,is an American film actress, former fashion model and singer. She is currently working on her second album. Phillips has appeared in several films, such as Bully, The Door in the Floor, Havoc and Tart.


Phillips had a tumultuous childhood, and began modelling at an early age. She has appeared on Maxim ads, Stuff ads, and several Calvin Klein ads. She has also appeared on the cover of Vogue, Stuff, Interview, Playboy, People, Detour, Nylon, Paper, 944, and Missbehave magazines. In 1996 she appeared in the video for the Sublime song "Wrong Way", portraying Annie.

Asia Argento

Asia Aria Anna Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento born on 20 September 1975 in Rome, Italy is an Italian television and film actress and director. In Rome, the city's register office refused to acknowledge Asia as an appropriate name, and instead officially inscribed her as Aria Argento. Despite this, she uses the name Asia Argento professionally. Asia is pronounced ['a:sia] in Italian.







Asia Argento was directed by her father Dario Argento in one of her first works, Trauma (1993), when she was 16. During this film she also had her first nude scene. She received the David di Donatello (Italy's version of Hollywood's Academy Award) for Best Actress in 1994 for her performance in Perdiamoci di vista!, and again in 1996 for Compagna di viaggio, which also earned her a Grolla d'oro award.





In 1998, Argento began appearing in American movies such as B. Monkey and New Rose Hotel with Christopher Walken and xxx with Samuel L Jackson

Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd born on April 19, 1968 in Granada Hills, California is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for her leading roles in a series of late 1990s and early 2000s thrillers, including Kiss the Girls, Double Jeopardy and High Crimes.
Judd was raised in her mother's Baptist religion, and attended twelve schools before college. She briefly tried modeling in Japan during school breaks. An alumna of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Kentucky, she majored in French and minored in anthropology, art history, theater, and women’s studies. She spent a semester studying in France as part of her major, a move that mirrored her role as Reed in the television series Sisters.
Judd began acting on television, and appeared as Ensign Robin Lefler, a Starfleet officer, in two 1991 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. From 1991 to 1994 she had a recurring role as Reed, the daughter of Alex (Swoosie Kurtz), on the NBC drama Sisters. She made her feature film debut in 1992's Kuffs, and had the starring role in 1993's independent film, Ruby in Paradise, for which she received good reviews

Ann Heathway

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway born November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York is an American film and stage actress. Hathaway made her acting debut in the 1999 television series Get Real, but her first prominent role was in Disney's family comedy The Princess Diaries (2001), which established her career. She continued to appear in Disney films in the next three years, and she had the lead roles in Ella Enchanted and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (both 2004).
Hathaway was raised in New Jersey and graduated from Millburn High School where she was in many school plays. She spent several semesters studying at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York before transferring to New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She referred to her college enrollment as one of her best decisions because she enjoyed being with others who were trying to successfully "grow up".

Hathaway was a member of the Barrow Group Theater Company's acting program and the first teenager admitted. She is a trained stage actress and has stated that she prefers appearing on stage to film roles.

Angelina Jolie in born June 4, 1975 IN Los Angeles, California, is an American film actress, a former fashion model, and a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. She is often cited by popular media as one of the world's most beautiful women[1] and her off-screen life is widely reported. She has received three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and an Academy Award.

After appearing as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in the 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out, Jolie's acting career began in earnest a decade later with the low budget production Cyborg 2 (1993) and she played her first leading role in a major film in Hackers (1995). She appeared in the critically acclaimed biographical films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999).

Jolie achieved international fame as a result of her portrayal of videogame heroine Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and since then has established herself as one of the best known and highest paid actresses in Hollywood. She had her biggest commercial success with the action-comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005).
